WHO IS THIS RETREAT FOR?

If you asked me what I think most women I know need most of all, I would say SPACE and STRENGTH. And that is what I hope I can create for you with the Stronger Women’s Retreat. There are silent battles every woman I know is fighting, but we often don’t speak about them, burdens we carry that are specific to our seasons and circumstances that no one knows about, struggles we don’t even tell our besties about.

But God knows, and He wants to invite you into a place of retreat, reflection and equipping, so you can return fortified for the fray of marriage and family life.

Step into a sanctuary of serenity and spiritual renewal at Origins Retreat a quick 45-minute drive outside of Joburg, nestled amidst rolling hills and serene gardens. Join me for a soul-stirring journey tailored for Christian women seeking a deeper connection with Christ, fortified faith, and practical wisdom for nurturing their marriages and families.

Our programme will start at 5PM on Friday, 26 February, with a warm invitation into a relaxing and reflective space, and we will be finished by 11AM on Sunday, 28 February. And in between? Comfortable, well-appointed rooms and good food – yup, no “church camp vibes” here ya’ll. And most of all, the time and tools to reflect meaningfully on your current faith journey and connect deeply with the safest Person to go to with your burdens…Jesus.

Beautiful Surroundings

You will be invited into the rhythm of retreat, with opportunity between sessions to get away, get quiet, engage with God in nature through walking trails, a labyrinth and times of quiet worship in the Poustinia chapel.

Time and Teaching in and from God’s Word

Biblically solid teaching bespoke to the challenges of married women, and the time you crave to be in the Word and hear God speak.

Journalling and Prayer

Our time together will include guidance on journaling and prayer, to equip you to engage more meaningfully with God’s word, return to Him and to yourself in honesty, and discover journaling as an avenue for meditation.
